My name is Jonathan Lancia, and my journey into healthcare began right here in Ontario at York University. While I was initially enrolled in Psychology, my true passion was ignited the moment I took my first anatomy class. That fascination with human biomechanics prompted me to shift my focus, and I subsequently graduated with an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology.
This academic background took on personal significance when I sought osteopathic treatment for my own lower back pain. Experiencing firsthand the profound, long-lasting relief it provided inspired me to pursue the field professionally, leading me to the rigorous four-year program at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO) in Hamilton.
I graduated from the CAO in 2022 after completing an intensive curriculum of over 4,200 hours of functional anatomy and physiology alongside 1,000 hours of hands-on clinical practice, and I am currently a proud member of Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN). This deep foundation allowed me to understand vital principles, such as the relationship between structure and function and the body’s natural ability to self-heal. My goal is to use my clinical and personal experience to help you find lasting relief, move without restriction, and achieve your optimal health.
